Unproductive for years, that I need some discipline - still searching for an effective routine that works for me. Getting overweight, and living a sedentary lifestyle. I need to act before my health fails me soon. Only thing would give me happiness and rejuvenate me to work is travel. Though would it work if I'm unproductive at the first place?

    Some of us struggle more than others with productivity and physical activity. For work, seriously try your hand at a few systems like GTD and the Pomodoro technique. Give any system at least two weeks of concentrated effort. Find the times that are naturally right for work and physical activity -- it's different for everyone. Then set up a schedule for yourself and stick to it. Again, I recommend no less than two weeks to get yourself in a rhythm. If it's not working, optimize and repeat. And find a someone to check in with over coffee or beer to talk about your progress. It may take a few months, but it's worth the effort.

    Sleep in your workout clothes and go for a walk first thing. (After coffee!) Adopt a dog. Go to the pound and get a dog. They will give you a routine and a good excuse to get outside for some steps in! Plus, they love you.
